Meet Melinda Reece

Ayurvedic Practitioner, Somatic Coach, Bodyworker & Psychotherapy Trainee

My path into this work began with a deep reverence for the body and a curiosity about what allows us to live with greater balance, awareness, and connection to ourselves.

For over two decades, I have studied and practiced holistic health, with Ayurveda becoming the foundation of how I understand the individual. Ayurveda taught me to look beyond symptoms, to consider our rhythms, patterns, environment, relationships, and the unique ways we experience and move through life.

Through years of therapeutic bodywork, I came to understand something equally important, that the body has its own language. Our experiences are not held only in the mind, but felt through sensation, breath, tension, movement, and the nervous system. This understanding led me deeper into somatic work and, eventually, the study of psychology.

Today, my work brings these perspectives together, ancient wisdom, somatic awareness, embodied experience, and modern psychology, to support greater self-understanding and a more connected relationship with yourself.

At the heart of my work is presence: creating the space to slow down, listen, feel, and recognize what is already within you.

This is an invitation to come home to yourself.

My Approach & Training

My approach brings together ancient healing traditions, somatic awareness, embodied wisdom, and modern psychology. I draw from Ayurveda, therapeutic bodywork, nervous system awareness, and compassionate self-inquiry to support greater self-awareness, balance, and connection to your own inner wisdom.

I am trained as an Ayurvedic Practitioner, Somatic Coach, and Bodyworker, with additional study in trauma-informed and somatic approaches. I am also completing graduate training in Counseling Psychology on the Marriage and Family Therapy track, expanding my understanding of relationships, emotional well-being, and the ways our experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and others.

My psychotherapy training is a distinct area of my professional development and is provided separately through my supervised clinical traineeship. The wellness services offered through this practice are not psychotherapy.
